  1. Eazy-Duz-It might not be the birth of gangsta rap, but it's certainly the album that put it on the map and secured the foundation, along with Straight Outta Compton that came out a few months later. It's easy to dismiss Eazy-E as not being a "real" rapper as he doesn't write his own rhymes and constantly uses raps with shock value.
  2. 'Eazy-er Said Than Dunn' is one of the dopest tracks here, an uptempo Meters recut on which the rhythmically challenged young Eric is the only possible weak spot. 'Radio,' with intro from Ren and Greg Mack, is kind of a lame replay of Taana Gardner's 'Heartbeat.'.

  7. Released only a month after Straight Outta Compton (), Eazy-Duz-It was the first N.W.A spin-off album. Years before Ice Cube went solo with Amerikkka's Most Wanted (), before Dr. Dre changed the rap game with The Chronic (), before MC Ren struggled to establish himself with Shock of the Hour (), and before Yella simply fell into obscurity, Eazy-E rose to immediate superstar.
