  1. The whole album, which was originally a two disc vinyl album, is on one disc. The tracks are long and extended, and given a jazz feel; but never boring. One of the best Traffic albums ever. This was recored live in Germany. If you like traffic, this ones a real winner. It's just as exciting today, as it /5().
  2. This is a great CD. Not The Stereo's best work, but a great CD nonetheless. Poppy, emo-ish, punk-ish, songs abound on this album. But for someone who loved their first album, "Three Hundred," I couldn't help but be dissapointed at the way these songs all sound pretty much the same/5(5).

  4. Mar 28,  · The first two albums are mindblowing, IMHO. The US first album dumps a couple tunes and adds singles "Hole In My Shoe" and "Paper Sun." CD versions give you all the stuff, so I'd vote for the first album, with the second album second. These two albums are two of my faves of all time! Right up there with the Beatles.
  5. Traffic is the second studio album by the English rock band Traffic, released in on Island Records in the United Kingdom as ILPS T (stereo), and United Artists in the United States, as UAS (stereo). The album peaked at number 9 in the UK albums chart and at number 17 on the Billboard It was the last album recorded by the group before their initial breakup.
  6. Traffic were an English rock band, formed in Birmingham, in April by Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. They began as a psychedelic rock group and diversified their sound through the use of instruments such as keyboards like the Mellotron and harpsichord, sitar, and various reed instruments, and by incorporating jazz and improvisational techniques in their music.
  7. May 09,  · I've found the USA for Japan Island CD's to have the best sound quality with one exception. Shootout At The Fantasy Factory MFSL is the best I've heard so far. The other MFSL's are a very good 2nd place though. I don't know if the quality of these for Japan Island CD's remained when the USA for USA pressings were released. Anyone heard both?
  8. A couple of years ago Traffic's entire catalogue was remastered, they added the original US album (different from the UK version) in mono to the original stereo UK album). Which means the album now includes the band's first 2 hit singles "Paper sun" and "Hole in my shoe" as well as the great "Smiling phases", covered by Blood Sweat & Tears.
  9. What a treat, this Island remaster () is awesome. You get the UK released album in stereo and the US released album in mono. I have the vinyl and it's in stereo so perhaps it's an import. At any rate the whole cd sounds great and a must have for all you Traffic, Steve Winwood, Dave Mason, Chris Wood or Jim Capaldi fans/5().
